Jessica serves as the Ontario NDP critic for Housing, Urban Planning and Tenant Rights. Prior to being elected in June 2018 she served as the founding Executive Director of TTCriders, winning better service and lower fares for Toronto transit riders.
She’s been a lecturer at Ryerson University, the director of the California Food & Justice Coalition and an effective advocate for environmental justice for some of North America's most high profile and effective advocacy organizations. She’s received several leadership awards, including Toronto Community Foundation’s Vital People Award and GreenPAC's political endorsement in 2018 for her lifelong commitment to the environment.
Jessica is a lifelong community organizer who believes in the power of bringing people together to create real and lasting change. She lives in University-Rosedale with her partner and two children.
