Register to join our roundtable on Bill 23

Published on October 26, 2022

On Tuesday, the Ford government introduced Bill 23, More Homes Built Faster.

Bill 23 is a sweeping bill that includes a host of legislative and regulatory changes that impact the entire housing sector, including renters, the building code, conservation authorities, development charges, municipalities, consumer protections, and more.

Our initial take is that while the bill will likely stimulate new housing construction, we are concerned it will impact housing affordability, the environment and municipal budgets.

I would like your feedback on this bill, what you like, your concerns, and what you would like us to raise in committee and in the legislature over the coming weeks.

We will be hosting a one-hour online roundtable on Friday, October 28 at 10 am to provide an overview of the bill, an opportunity for you to give feedback and discuss the bill with other stakeholders, and time for you to share your own next steps to take action. Please RSVP directly through Zoom here, or by emailing [email protected]. You are also welcome to send feedback and statements to [email protected]
