Following the tragic shooting at an Airbnb rental in CityPlace, University-Rosedale MPP Jessica Bell has written an open letter, along with MPP Chris Glover (Spadina-Fort York) and MPP Suze Morrison (Toronto Centre), to Airbnb demanding that they follow the City of Toronto's rules for short-term rentals.
These rules, which were approved by Toronto City Council in 2017, require Airbnb to remove the approximately 9,000 non-primary residence units from their platform.
The letter was developed in partnership with residents’ associations and community groups across our ridings.
