In December 2020, the Auditor General found the condo sector to be poorly regulated with inadequate regulation and oversight over condo program managers and condo boards. In the nearly two years since very little has changed to ensure condo residents have recourse for genuine complaints about the issues affecting their daily home lives.
On November 10, I am inviting condo residents to work with me to secure the consumer protection measures I believe Ontario’s 1.3 million condo residents need to live in safe and well-maintained homes. I will be joined by my colleague and MPP Tom Rakocevic and Dr. Karen Somerville, President of Canadians for Properly Built Homes.
