On June 27, the last day of school for many students, the Minister of Education placed placed four more school boards under provincial supervision — including the Toronto District School Board. An unelected supervisor is now in charge, and the authority of elected trustees has been significantly reduced.
Since then, many of you have reached out with real concerns. Who do I talk to about my child’s school? What does this mean for students, teachers, and the future of public education?
