The Ontario Government is directing school boards to cut more than $1 billion from Ontario classrooms, and instituting a hiring freeze. That means larger class sizes and less educational opportunities for students. They've also cut $100 million from school repairs at a time when our schools need funding to fix broken windows and leaky roofs.
We can do so much better for students in this province. Sign the petition to stand up for quality public education in Ontario.

TO THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ONTARIO:
Whereas Doug Ford’s new education scheme seeks to dramatically increase class sizes starting in Grade 4; Whereas the changes will mean thousands fewer teachers and education workers and less help for every student; Whereas secondary students will now be forced to take at least four of their classes online with as many as 35 students in each course;
Whereas Ford’s changes will rip over 1 Billion dollars out of Ontario’s education system by the end of the government’s term; and
Whereas kids in Ontario deserve more opportunities, not fewer;
Therefore, we the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario to:
Demand that the government halt the cuts to classrooms and invest to strengthen public education in Ontario.
